Happy New Year 2010!

    With the new semester which started from January 11, 2010, AARM, AIT, two special students or interns joined AARM, AIT.
    They are Mr Preston Jones and Nabin Khanal.

    Preston is from the State University of New York at New Paltz joined internship at AIT from January 11, 2010. He is learning
    tilapia farming as well as some other AARM activities. Nabin, a recent graduate from IAAS, Nepal has arrived to start internship
    from January 11, 2010, 2009 for about 3 months to learn about tilapia and Pangasias hatchery processes so that he can start
    his own business upon return.

    Ms Claudia Ferraz from the University of Aveiro, Portugal arrived on 29th November and is carrying out a research on the use
    of probiotics in tilapia fry and grow-out. She will be returning only in Mid March.

    Tida Leagnavar from US arrived on November 9, 2009, started working as an intern. She assisted in organizing the ISAFE
    symposium (November 27-30, 2009), publication work and others at AIT. She completed her 2-month internship and has left
    for a job in New Zealand.

    Ms. Farah Manji and Ms. Naomi completed their internship and have returned back to their universities.
    Mr. Mikael Chavelley from Montpelier, France completed his internship and also graduated from his university. He met with
    Sonia and Susana, previous interns when they were at AIT for their internship. Click here to see the VIDEO.

    Seminar: SONIA and SUSANA from Portugal who were at AIT as interns gave seminars on March 25, 2009. Please click on

    ISAFE Symposium! AARM-AIT successfully organized an International Symposium on Aquaculture and Fisheries Education
    (ISAFE) during 27 - 30 November 2009. Important roles played by EC funded programs; namely, Curriculum Development and
    Aqua Internship under Asia Link Program was realized during the symposium. For more information please click here.....
